Hugs in the City

Summary

The story revolves around Jilly, a character devoted to hugging cats all around town, showcasing her affectionate nature and love for animals. As she goes about her day, she encounters a variety of cats, including a neighbor's cat named Ben, a park bench dweller, and even a slightly more reluctant, grumpy feline. Her adventures continue as she attempts to hug cats of all kinds—long, short, old, young, and even those who visit locations like the fish and chips shop. Despite a zookeeper's warning against hugging zoo animals, Jilly's day concludes delightfully when, tired from her many cat-cuddling exploits, she returns home to find that some furry friends have followed her, reciprocating her loving gesture with hugs of their own. This playful narrative, sprinkled with fun onomatopoeia, teaches children about kindness, empathy, and the joy found in simple acts of affection.
