Last of all the holidays,
Comes the one to children dear.
How their little eyes will sparkle,
When the Christmas Day draws near.
Christmas trees and Christmas secrets,
Christmas bells across the snow,
Stories of the little Christ-child,
God’s best gift to us below—
Santa coming down the chimney,
Stockings hanging by the wall—
All the children think that Christmas
Is the nicest day of all.
